When the Mountain Fell by C-F Ramuz, HB with DJ, Jacket chipped, 1947, 221 pp. Not sure why this is in the collection but an interesting book about a swiss village and cataclysm.
Inland Deep by Richard Tooker, HB, corners banged, 1936, Lib sticker in front cover, sleeve in back, 267 pp. Frontis shows someone being lowered by clothes line into a pit while hiding a rife and wearing a pistol. "Roger and Bob went, on an exploration into the deepest recesses of the Comanche caves. And sure enough, deep inside they found prints—like the tracks of a giant frog! These strange prints soon led to an underground world—a fantastic new realm filled with monstrous beasts, weird phenomena, and home to a previously undiscovered race of semi-intelligent beings”.
